Description: Grievous is the spirit of a young boy who died in a fire along with his older brother, Peril, which may be the cause of the reddish, firelike gas that replaces the light purple gas that would normally surround a Gastly. He has battling potential, but no trainer. He currently resides in Ecruteak's Burnt Tower along with Peril and Spook, and, like most other ghost Pokemon, enjoys playing scary practical jokes on others, escpecially humans. He sees his brother as a role model.

Description: Peril is the spirit of an older teenage boy who burned alive in a fire along with his younger brother, Grievous. Because of this, he is still very protective of Grievous. Unfortnately, this led to a battle injury; his left ear is broken and bent at an awkward angle. Due to lack of a trainer, this has yet to be treated. Otherwise, he's a regular Haunter--always seeking to entertain himself and others. He's a very good friend of Gem's; the two see each other often. He is somewhat jealous that Gem married Chillie, however.

Description: The cause of his death is unknown because he himself does not remember. He thinks of Grievous and Peril as his family, though they are not directly related. He prefers the nickname they gave him over his real name, and so answers to "Spook," uncreative though it is. He's a very inexperienced battler, and dislikes battling; he enjoys watching others battle instead. He has a happy-go-lucky personality and is eager to please, but is a little too curious for his own good.
